Re elected for second term.

Canadian AHEPA  President Nick Aroutzidis was re-elected for a second term at the 2009 National convention held in San Francisco between June 30th  and July  5th.The Canadian delegation whole heartedly endorsed Brother Aroutzidis presidency  and was delighted with Brother Nicks decision to seek a second term.. Thus giving him the opportunity to finish the projects that were initiated during his first term such as  the Ottawa internship program , the Parliamentary  Banquet which due the political uncertainty  did not take  place . Brother Nick is looking forward to the coming year and the challenges it brings one them being the 2010 National Convention which will be held again in Canada after 20 years. I n his report to the convention s Canadian Delegates  Brother Aroutzidis stated ‘That 2010 National Convention   is not  only a Montreal  Chapter event  but that  of the whole of Canada and  it is the duty of all  Canadian chapters  both AHEPA and DOP to show support  and take   greater participation in this Convention  . Let’s take this convention show to the rest of our AHEPAN brothers of the Ahepan domain the vitality and achievements of our Canadian Brothers and Sisters”

Brother Aroutzidis is a very caring individual who believes that one must give back community and serve for the betterment of his fellow man. Besides being the President of NA Engineering Associates Inc., an engineering firm with offices in southwestern Ontario, is also an active fifteen year member of his London Ontario Chapter CJ2, he has been on the Board of Directors for the United Way Perth, a member of the Directors of the Stratford Cullitons Hockey Club, a member of the Directors of the Huron Perth Lakers Minor Hockey Club, General Manager for the Huron Perth Lakers Major Midget Program, Chairperson and member of the committee for LACAC (Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee), Director for the Stratford and Area Builder’s Association, Member of the Committee of Adjustments for the City of Stratford, Ontario, President and member of the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of  Stratford and Tavistock, Ontario, and Chairperson for the Rotary Respite House. In 2006 the Rotary Club of Stratford honored him with the Paul Harris Fellow this is the highest recognition for a Rotarian.

He is a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in London, Ontario where he has served on several committees over the years. At present Nick resides in Stratford, Ontario with his wife Virginia (formerly Virginia Sinioris) and their  children Mary-Ellen, Haritos and Vlasis.

Brother Nick exemplifies the old adage ‘if you want a job done ask a busy man.’
