AAHEPA Family Charitable Foundation of Canadaa
The Journey to Greece program, which is being offered by the Athenian Campus of the University of Indianapolis and being sponsored by AHEPA, has been especially designed to immerse young students in a wonderful learning experience celebrating Greek society and culture of today and of yesteryear. Students may choose to attend one of two sessions. The sessions are balanced between traditional class work and educational excursions providing students with an invaluable experiential education.
The AHEPA Family Charitable Foundation of Canada established the Journey to Greece Scholarship in 2006. The Scholarship is intended for Canadian university students who are linked to the AHEPA Family either directly as members or indirectly through family (e.g. spouses, children, grandchildren) and/or are of Hellenic heritage (through a parent, grandparent or spouse).
For 2009 AHEPA FCFC covers US$1,970 towards the Program Fee and the Lord Byron Toronto AHEPA Chapter covers CND$1,250 towards airfare and transportation. The University Program Fee includes: tuition, transcripts, accommodations for students, lunches (Monday - Friday), access to the library and computer facilities, group excursions, travel costs & lodging while in Greece, orientation, welcome & farewell receptions.
Previous applicants who did not receive the AFCFC JTG Scholarship are encouraged to re-apply.
The winner of the 2009 Journey to Greece Scholarship will be announced shortly!
