Presentation on the occasion of ‘OXI’ Day

OTTAWA, ONTARIO-The Ottawa Chapter of AHEPA with the collaboration of The Daughters of Penelope and the Hellenic Community of Ottawa hosted a presentation by Professor Thanos Fotiou in recognition of

The 28th of October "OXI" Day

The event was presented to a full house of AHEPANs, Daughters of Penelope, other members of our Community and other friends of the AHEPA family.

The event was also attended by members of the Greek Embassy in Ottawa:

-His Excellency Eleftherios Angelopoulos, the newly arrived Ambassador of Greece to Canada

- Mr.Lambros Kakissis, First Counsellor

- Mr.Theodossios Dimitrakopoulos, Press Counsellor

-Ms. Georgia Marioli, Press Attaché

- Colonel Georgios Galanos, Defence Attaché

In addition Mr.Pantelis G.Petmezas, Honourary Consul of Canada in Thessaloniki Greece and Ms. Petmezas attended the presentation.

Ms. Tassy Vassilyadis Vice-President Hellenic Community of Ottawa represented the President of the Community Mrs. Penelope Makrodimitris-Karlis.

Ms. Margaret Dritsas the President of the Daughters of Penelope represented the DOP.

Fr. Alex Michalopulos was out of town but sent a letter with his regrets and congratulations for the occasion.
